How this tool works
A hedge calculator tells you how much to bet on the other side so both outcomes land at a known profit. People also search this as a cash-out check.
Hedge an open bet
Original bet on one side, hedge at the current opposing price.
Accepts fractional (5/2), decimal (3.50) and American (+250 / -110) odds.
The lock formula
Hedge stake = original potential return / current hedge decimal odds. If the two profit figures are close, the position is equalised. If the hedge price is poor, the lock can still be a small loss — useful when you would rather bank certainty than ride the last legs of an acca.
FAQ
Is this the same as cash out?
It is the DIY version. Compare the locked profit with the cash-out number on the slip.
Can I hedge an acca?
Yes. Use the remaining acca price as the original odds, or hedge the last outstanding legs.
What if I only want to reduce risk, not lock equally?
Lower the hedge stake. This page equalises both outcomes.
